The Jonesboro High School Lady Cards finished 2nd out of 42 teams in the Conyers Classic this past weekend, September 26-27. They finished first in pool play by defeating Salem, Houston County, North Atlanta, Chapel Hill, and Lee Counties. They qualified for the Gold Bracket where they defeated Lithia Springs, Union Grove, North Oconee. The Lady Cards played #4 ranked in State (AAAA) Northgate in the Championship game, but lost 25-20, 25-20. Their overall record for the year is 35-9. Their next match will be Tuesday, September 29th @ Dutchtown, Langston Hughes. They will also play Thursday, October 1st @ Morrow, Riverdale.
